    Is material displacement still working on 5.3? I feel like since 5.4 droped with the "new" discplacement I cant get it to work anymore in 5.3. Was is it removed or Im just to stupid to set it up ? Anyone can confirm please , thanks !

    When i make my layers weighted (Normal) the map texture doesnt change from that black hole color for some reason and im trying to figure out how to add these layers into the auto material, do i just add that under an asset in the auto material? because in your example you are just putting the paint onto the entire landscape but i want to use my auto material and still be able to paint nanite materials around the landscape. by the way amazing videos im new and trying to learn and you have helped a lot. thank you!

    Thanks for this awesome tutorial. I have followed step by step of your tutorial, but I am facing some issues. Everthing is working fine but the entire landscape is black and white even after applying textures to the slots. Help me out to resolve my problem

      1. If you are using world partition you should select each part and apply the Material Instance to it. 2. On the other hand all the textures should be replaced in each slot. 3. Also you need to go to Landscape Mode -> Paint -> Assign Layers to each paint layer to get the textures to work If all of those don't help hop in our discord server and ask the community there.     Displacement Input is greyed out, you have to enable Tessellation in the Material Editor (Nanite Section) as well, search for "Tessellation"! (UE 5.4.1)

    Currently there is no trailing white water stream, no underwater foggy feeling, as well as the white waves are distorted at the edges, would like to use a foam texture❤

    I think this is the best implementation of automaterial on YT. I noticed other tutorials use a very performance intensive aproach, where you blend like 7 materials per pixel shader.

    Your work is very good. One thing I miss in most water simulations in games is the resistance that water generates when moving. In real life, water generates great resistance to movement, making everything a little slower and less loose. I see this represented in an unrealistic way in games.

      This is just a text on white background used for placeholder. You can do it in Paint, just type “Albedo” and that is it.

    I'm having an error please help!!! [SM6] Function MF_DefaultLayer: (Node TextureSample) Sampler type is Normal, should be Color for /Game/StarterContent/Textures/T_Rock_Basalt_D.T_Rock_Basalt_D [SM6] Function MF_SnowMask: (Node PixelNormalWS) Invalid node PixelNormalWS used for Normal input. [SM6] Function MF_DefaultLayer: (Node TextureSample) Sampler type is Normal, should be Color for /Game/StarterContent/Textures/T_Rock_Basalt_D.T_Rock_Basalt_D I tried changing the sampler type as said, but it isn't doing anything.

      I think i got it! change into the Landscape_AutoMaterial the 2D normal texture in Color (Rock Layer, Stone Layer...,) i need to farward now that i see if this workes. The SM6 is away now.

    for anyone that potentially have an error with the plugins not showing up, make a 'Plugins' folder in the same area as the main folder (outside of engine or config) and the motorica ai will show up

    Hey there; awesome stuff. Thx! Do you know if it works in UE 5.4? I did it step by step. Tessellation is working but painting not :/ EDIT: Painting works, but even when I apply and reactivate Nanite, paintings gone..

      I could be wrong as I am still learning this but in another video I am pretty sure they said you can't use Mesh Paint mode with Nanite Tessellation and you have to use the Modeling Mode Attribs->Paint Vertex Colors tool.
